Group dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women backs Kotek
[Portland, OR] – Today, on the first day of Women’s History Month, the Women’s Investment Network Political Action Committee (WINPAC) announced their endorsement of Tina Kotek for Governor. The Women’s Investment Network Political Action Committee is one of Oregon’s leading organizations working to elect pro-choice Democratic women around the state. This endorsement follows endorsements already made by EMILY’s List, Planned Parenthood PAC of Oregon, Pro-Choice Oregon and The Mother PAC.
As the former Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives, Tina has been a tireless champion for reproductive rights and gender equity. Following the election of Donald Trump, she led the passage of Oregon’s Reproductive Health Equity Act, the strongest abortion rights law in the nation. Because of Tina’s leadership, access to abortion will be protected for all Oregonians, no matter what happens at the U.S. Supreme Court.
And, under Tina’s leadership, Oregon passed historic legislation to require equal pay for equal work, as well as common-sense gun safety legislation aimed at protecting victims of domestic violence from gun violence.
“Under my leadership, we were able to pass the nation’s strongest abortion access law,” said Tina Kotek, candidate for Governor. “These protections would not have been possible without WINPAC’s work to ensure a pro-choice majority in our legislature.”
