PORTLAND, OR – Today, Governor Kotek announced her latest set of endorsements for her re-election campaign — demonstrating a broad coalition that represents the breadth of Oregonians that work in our communities and advocate for a stronger future for Oregon. It includes union support from educators, nurses, engineers, first responders, service workers, and tradespeople, along with community organizations, advocacy groups, and grassroots activists supporting her for a second term.
“I am honored to have the support of Oregonians from all walks of life,” said Governor Kotek. “Since I was sworn in, I have worked hard to build a state that works better for everyone and, since the election of President Trump, I have fought to defend Oregon from his dangerous overreach and protect Oregon values. While Christine Drazan is complacent with allowing Trump’s agenda in our state, I will continue to make progress for working Oregonians.”
Recent additions to Governor Kotek’s strong coalition include AFT-Oregon, Building Power for Communities of Color, International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Jane Fonda Climate PAC, Oregon State Council for Retired Citizens, Reproductive Freedom for All, Safety and Justice Oregon, Sierra Club, and Stand for Children.
“Governor Kotek is committed to families, students, and workers across our state,” said AFT-Oregon President Ariana Jacob. “We stand with her because she champions public education and is working with us to fully fund Oregon’s schools from cradle to career.”
“Governor Kotek has demonstrated a commitment to racial justice since her time in the Oregon Legislature,” said Marcus C. Mundy, Executive Director of Building Power for Communities of Color. “With so much at stake this election, we trust Governor Kotek to continue working with and for our communities in her second term, building a more equitable future together.”
“Whether she is saving jobs at the Oregon Container Terminal or empowering worker voices at the Port of Portland Commission, Governor Kotek has firmly stood with Oregon’s longshore, warehouse, and maritime workers,” said International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 8 President Matt Findley. “We are confident that Governor Kotek will continue to create positive change for working people from Mahonia Hall.”
“Governor Kotek has positioned Oregon as a national leader on climate action: fighting against Trump’s climate rollbacks, reinstating Oregon’s Climate Protection Program, and bolstering wind and solar while federal tax credits were still on the table,” said Jane Fonda, Founder of Jane Fonda Climate PAC. “We can count on Governor Kotek to keep accelerating a clean energy transition in the Beaver State — no matter what obstacles the federal government throws her way.”
“Governor Tina Kotek is a steadfast champion for reproductive freedom, and helped make Oregon home to some of the strongest protections in the country,” said Mini Timmaraju, Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO. “We are proud to endorse her for reelection this November to continue building on that progress and ensuring every Oregonian can access the reproductive healthcare they need, free from political interference.”
“At a moment when Washington is erasing decades of climate progress, Oregonians need a strong environmental champion in the governor’s office,” said Emily Bowes, Chapter Director of Sierra Club of Oregon. “We know that Governor Kotek will continue to lead Oregon to a more clean and sustainable future.”
“Governor Kotek’s commitment to student success is clear,” said Sarah Pope, Executive Director of Stand for Children Oregon. “With her track record of supporting attendance, early literacy, and a full school year, we are proud to support Governor Kotek as she seeks a second term.”

ABOUT GOVERNOR KOTEK
Governor Tina Kotek has spent her career making history and fighting for others. Over the last three years, Governor Kotek has expanded access to affordable childcare, created thousands of new shelter beds, protected abortion access and vote-by-mail, and funded early literacy and summer learning programs. She has also been a national leader in pushing back against Donald Trump’s attacks on our communities, our healthcare, and our rights by blocking his illegal attempts to deploy the Oregon National Guard in our communities and working through the night to reverse his decision to strip food assistance from Oregonians by taking away SNAP benefits.
Governor Kotek is running for reelection to continue defending Oregon values and tackling the state’s biggest challenges – lowering costs, reducing homelessness, strengthening schools, expanding mental health and addiction care, and bringing affordable childcare to every corner of the state.
