“Alarming” highlights how Christine Drazan voted to defund the Oregon Health Plan and threatened healthcare for over a million Oregonians
PORTLAND, OR – Today, Governor Tina Kotek’s re-election campaign launched a new ad highlighting Christine Drazan’s disastrous healthcare record. “Alarming” shows how Medicaid in Oregon, known as the Oregon Health Plan, would be under threat if Christine Drazan were to become governor.

“At every opportunity, Christine Drazan has failed to protect Oregon’s healthcare,” said Federico Araujo, communications director for Tina for Oregon. “Even as Trump’s Medicaid cuts threaten healthcare for over a million Oregonians, she hasn’t said a word. Instead of standing up for Oregonians, Drazan voted to defund the Oregon Health Plan. Unlike Drazan, Governor Kotek has fought to make sure Oregonians can get the healthcare they need.”
Christine Drazan’s record of threatening Oregon’s healthcare:
- Last year, Drazan downplayed the impact of Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill and its impact on Oregon families’ health care.
- Drazan voted against funding for the Oregon Health Plan.
- Drazan voted no on the creation of the Prescription Drug Affordability Board, which reviews and reports on price increases in prescription drugs.
- Drazan opposed legislation to even explore the possibility of universal health care in Oregon.
