“Catastrophic” highlights how Christine Drazan is aligned with Trump on cutting healthcare for Oregonians
PORTLAND, OR – This week, Governor Tina Kotek’s re-election campaign launched a new ad highlighting how Christine Drazan is in lockstep with the Trump administration on cutting Oregonians’ healthcare. “Catastrophic” shows that Christine Drazan will continue to stand with Trump instead of Oregonians, especially when it comes to slashing Medicaid coverage, also known as the Oregon Health Plan.
“Just like Donald Trump, Christine Drazan prides herself on her record of cutting Oregonians’ healthcare,” said Federico Araujo, communications director for Tina for Oregon. “Alongside her MAGA allies, she has no problem ripping healthcare away from working Oregonians to cut taxes for her wealthy donors. As Trump’s Medicaid cuts threaten coverage for over a million Oregonians, Drazan hasn’t said a word. She has a track record of voting against funding the Oregon Health Plan and capping prescription drug costs. Unlike Drazan, Governor Kotek will always stand up to Trump and defend Oregon’s healthcare.”
Christine Drazan’s catastrophic record of cutting Oregon’s healthcare:
- Last year, Drazan downplayed the impact of Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill and its impact on Oregon families’ health care.
- Drazan voted against funding for the Oregon Health Plan.
- Drazan voted no on the creation of the Prescription Drug Affordability Board, which reviews and reports on price increases in prescription drugs.
- Drazan opposed legislation to even explore the possibility of universal health care in Oregon.
