[Portland, OR] – Ahead of tonight’s gubernatorial debate at KATU in Portland, the Tina for Oregon campaign released a new TV ad detailing Christine Drazan’s far-right agenda on abortion, gun violence, and threats to our democracy.
Christine Drazan is endorsed by Oregon Right to Life, an extreme group that opposes abortion even in cases of rape or incest. Drazan went a step further, sponsoring legislation in 2019 and 2020 that could jail doctors for performing abortions.
The ad also highlights Drazan’s “A” rating from the NRA and her concerning ties to January 6th rioters and members of violent militias.
“Republican Christine Drazan doesn’t have a plan to fix anything, but she does have an agenda to push Oregon to the far-right,” said Katie Wertheimer, communications director. “Christine Drazan is cozying up to insurrectionists and far-right militia members, and proving that she’s too right-wing for Oregon.”
