[Portland, OR]: Today, Oregon’s U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley announced their endorsement of Tina Kotek for Governor:
Senator Ron Wyden:
“Tina Kotek has proven herself time and again to be a creative and committed leader willing to work with Oregonians in every nook and cranny of our state to fight for opportunities that make all communities even better places to live, work and raise a family.
“Throughout her public service, Tina has listened to Oregonians and then acted in the common interest to find smart solutions that work to improve mental and physical health care, help people get a roof over their heads and a floor under their feet, and provide the fair wages that workers deserve. And she has been Oregonians’ champion in the Legislature for rock-solid abortion rights, cleaner energy and common-sense gun legislation.
That track record of accomplishment and taking on special interests is why I’m proud to endorse Tina for governor. She knows there are tough challenges ahead and has shown herself to be the best candidate for the job.
